Homework for Monday 14th November
• Prepare your book presentation. Make use of the book-in-a-box presentation language support sheet.

• Think about how you can present information about the book using your box with the objects.

• In the well-structured talk include:
–the title, year of publication and the name of the author,
–why you decorated the outside of the box the way you did,
–your summary on what the book is about,
–your analysis of language (level, style) and form (page numbers, price, annotations)
–the objects and why you have chosen them,
–your comment about how you liked the book.

• Prepare notes. Jot down on index cards what you want to tell your classmates in the correct order.

book in a box production
Dear students,

the aim of today's lesson is to produce a box for your group's book. The box needs to be finished today. The box will be presented next lesson. The box as well as the presentation count towards your mark in "Sonstige Mitarbeit".

Now start with the production of your box: get together in your groups. Take a look at the book-in-a-box guidelines and the book profile (book_profile (doc, 220 KB) ) again. As there is not much time left, you need to divide tasks. Each student should work on his or her own, e. g. one person writes a summary whereas another analyses the language, finds out information on the form or decorates the box. At the end of the lesson you fill in the book profile form and send it to your teacher at (). Your teacher will print out your profile for each class member, so you all have a sound basis for making your decision on which set text you want to read.

Your homework is to prepare an oral presentation of your box. Use the language support on the work sheet which will be made available to you by your teacher. Jot down your ideas on cue cards. Each student needs to be prepared to present his or her group's box.
